This is my submission for the March Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge at Operation Write Home. The challenge this month is to make the sentiment the main focus of the card. That is easy for me, since I still haven’t manage to get into coloring images. The color is a bit off in this photo. I used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake along with the blue piece which was cut from a Project Life card. The awesome sentiment is from Jillybean Soup and […]
Whoa! It has been a very, very long time since I’ve posted anything! I’m just putting this up to link to the latest sketch challenge at Operation Write Home. As you can tell, this one one was super duper quick. Cardstock and paper are Stampin’ Up! The sentiment is from the Avery Elle set Many Thanks. I cut the words apart to fit in the circle. Thanks for stopping by!
Yes, I’m still playing with this paper. Since I have everything out on the desk anyway, I might as well get a few cards made, right? In addition to the same supplies I’ve listed in the previous two posts, I also used the new Word Bubbles stamp set and matching dies from Stampin’ Up! I’m telling you, things like this make my life so much easier. I love matching stamp and die sets. Really. If you could see the shelves […]
Operation Write Home has given me another simple sketch to work with. I am really loving the Fresh Prints paper stack from Stampin’ Up! I have made several cards with it so far and will have no problem at all happily using the entire stack. I also used Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Real Red card stock. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Square Sayings stamp set and the brad looking thingies are Doodlebug Design sprinkles. […]
You know that clean and simple is what I love. The latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches is just that and guess what? I love it! 🙂 I used some new stuff from Stampin’ Up – Fresh Prints Paper Stack (I will be ordering more of these. I truly love the color combo!), a tag topper punch, Crumb Cake , Real Red and Coastal Cabana card stock. The linen thread is also from Stampin’ Up and I love the Doodlebug […]
Operation Write Home has given us another great sketch today. I made two cards, hoping for masculine and feminine. I am once again taking pictures with my iPhone. The cord for my card reader has mysteriously disappeared, so the DSLR is on the shelf until the cord can be located. I have a feeling I will find it in one of the boys’ rooms, as it seems to be common for the little thieves to steal from me when they […]
I very rarely (and I mean VERY rarely) ever use just a white card base as my background layer. I’m so afraid of the card looking too plain. I saw a sketch on the Freshly Made Sketches site and knew I had to try to step out of my comfort zone. The sketch: My card: To be honest, and to explain why my banners/flags do not match the sketch, I remembered seeing the sketch but didn’t go back to it […]
Today’s sketch from Operation Write Home, Sketch #202. I managed to make three masculine cards this afternoon. Woohoo! The papers are from the Carta Bella Well Traveled and My Mind’s Eye Lost & Found 6 x 6 paper pads. I’m going to add this link to the ODBD challenge for this month as well as the sketch challenge at Operation Write Home. Thanks for stopping by!
